Your consultation
At your consultation Mr Oezdogan will:
discuss what you would like to change and why
examine you and explain which options are suitable, including non-surgical alternatives or not having surgery
explain the benefits, risks, recovery and the possibility of further surgery in the future
give you written information to take away
Private consultations and surgery are offered to adults aged 18 and over. You will be given time to reflect before deciding, and a second consultation is offered before surgery is booked.

Risks and recovery
Every operation carries risks. These are discussed in detail at your consultation and in writing before you decide. They include:
bleeding, infection, wound-healing problems and scarring
changes in nipple or breast sensation
asymmetry, and the possible need for further surgery
for implants: capsular contracture, rupture, implant position problems, the need for future replacement and, rarely, breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL)
for reduction and uplift: changes to the ability to breastfeed
Most aesthetic breast operations are carried out as day-case or overnight-stay surgery. Recovery usually takes 2 weeks before returning to desk work and about six weeks before strenuous exercise. Your own timeline will be discussed with you.
Surgery aims to improve shape and appearance, but individual results vary and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
Where surgery takes place
Consultations and body contouring surgery take place at Highgate Hospital (Nuffield Health) and The London Welbeck Hospital. Day-case procedures take place at Chase Lodge Hospital, Mill Hill.
Frequently asked questions

Which implants are used?
Implant type, shape and size are discussed and chosen with you at your consultation. Details of your implant are recorded in the UK Breast and Cosmetic Implant Registry by the hospital where your surgery takes place.
